This page was put together slapdashedly to quell a passing manic urge. But since it exists (and since you're here) lets get to know each other. My proclivities and inclinations are conviently located toward the right for your viewing displeasure. Enjoy!
I have always found short, intimate, vignettes into other's lives fascinating. When the imaginary barrier that seperates a stranger's life and my own evaporates I feel a sense of catharthis followed by a dreadsome loneliness. While it is reassuring to know we all share mundane moments, personal troubles, deadlines, habits, etc. The moment is always fleeting and once it ends the barrier reappears. An entire life, parallel to my own, opened for just a moment only to dissapate back into strangerhood. It makes me feel like I am mourning something that never really existed. Regardless of what you call it; voyeurism, alienation, empathy, melodramatic prose, it is something that draws me to engage with the internet. Derelict website, old blogs, personal websites, the intro of online recipies. These all harbor some phantom of a person, and I find that interesting.
I feel like nowadays it is the norm to curate an online persona. Becoming an 'Influencer' is the new collective dream. It creates a more sanitized, less earnest, enviornment that doesn't hook me. In my average life I already adhere to theater of society and I play my role well enough. I have little to no interest in continuing that fabrication online.
This page is a way to give a stranger (thats you) a glimpse into my earnest life. Hopefully it intrigues you the same way it does for me.
Unlike International Typographic Stylists, I prefer my negative space occupied.
